July 2 "Arise! Have Compassion on My Family" Psalm 102:13

The Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before Him,
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary
Psalm 102:1-3
So, hear my prayer, O God of Heaven,
Incline Your Ear.
My days are consumed...
I forget to eat...
Smitten...
I lie awake at night...
Withering...

But YOU
O LORD, abide forever!
You will arise and have compassion on my family, our country.
Psalm 102:13
For it is time to be gracious to them.
May the appointed time come.
Come quickly LORD Jesus!
Our Praise, Adoration, Love!

PRAYER FROM PSALM:
Praise the LORD from the earth and all deeps.
Fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormy wind and heavens
all fulfilling the Word of God.  Psalm 148:8
From the depths of our soul, we give you praise!

  1. Today is Britt's birthday. I remember the moment like it was yesterday. I touched his toe to see if it was really true. It was 9 months of unknown with great difficulty, unbearable in the last trimester. I couldn't sleep for fear. Panic ensued. 72 hours with no sleep. Walking the street where we lived in the wee hours of the morning, husband holding my hand, tears streaming down. Everything reversed when I delivered. Sweet sleep. No more panic attacks. Bizarre and worth every breath to have this guy in the world! Love him so! If you know him, go wish him a Happy Birthday on my facebook page or his.

  2. As I read today's psalms, I thought what if pastors, ministers, and priests called and exhorted believers to praise God. Can you imagine it? The Body of Christ putting aside differences, some big some small, looking outside ourselves, our eyes and hearts focused on the Lord and praising Him.

  3. "Enter His gates with thanksgiving
    And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.

    For the Lord is good;
    His lovingkindness is everlasting
And His faithfulness to all generations."

We are headed to the Colorado mountains tomorrow for a few days. I can't wait to breathe the cool air and take in the beauty of His handiwork. I know Holly sees this every day outside her breakfast window, but we don't take mountains (or even hills!) lightly around here!

Power and majesty abound. I was just listening to Travis Cottrell's song, "When the Stars Burn Down" It is so worshipful. Blessing and honor and glory and power forever to our God!
