July 18 "Trees Walking" Proverbs 17:24

Proverbs 17:24

"They eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth."

How have I missed most of my life the Truths I now see so clearly. My experience was like the verse in Mark 8:24 where a blind man sees for the first time---but he sees "trees walking" and so did I. Alive but frozen in some ways. But, now I see. Yes, I really see.  "Place no hope in the experience of satisfaction now.  If you do, you are shifting away from the hope held out in the gospel of Jesus Christ." Larry Crabb

Where are my eyes? Do they seek satisfaction on this earth? Or do I live for another world? If I separate myself in any way, any kind, I seek my own desire.

PRAYER FROM PSALMS

O God, You are my God.

My soul thirsts for you.

And if it doesn't, may I search for satisfaction only in You.

My soul clings to You.

Thank you for upholding me just as I am. Psalm 63:8

OVERVIEW: Proverbs 16-18

  1. I should concern myself with God's scales, His scales are just. Looking at a situation through the lens of the Gospel is so very different from the worldly view in most cases.

I don't want to examine any broken area without the power of the Holy Spirit and authority of the Scriptures.

  2. Whoops. I read the wrong chapters. So, I am going to move this one to tomorrow. And I'll post a new one here. My mistake. Sorry. Love.
