I do sometimes feel like I've been a beast before You. Nevertheless!
I am continually with You. You have taken hold of my right hand.
With Your Counsel You will guide me.
Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You,
I desire nothing on earth.

Psalm 73:27 is the prayer of my heart this day:
But as for me, the nearness of God is my good.
With all my hearth and strength,
help me, this day, this circumstance, to make You my Refuge.
Not the solution to my problems.
Not the resolution of life's issues.
Not the crowning achievements that come our way.
May I find Refuge and Solace in You Alone.

DeleteI don't think I've ever seen that verse before and it speaks to me so completely.

The whole last part of Psalm 73 from verse 21 on is an anthem to me, a state of heart report of my history and a battle cry for the days to come.
Whom have we but Jesus? Anyone or thing else is destined for ruin. He is a safe Refuge for this day and every tomorrow.
Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - I cannot express it any better than the psalmist - He is my All in All in heaven and on earth. Without Him there is no point...
