July 15 ... Proverbs 7 - 9 "Write Word on Back of your Hands"

Provers 7: 4
Write my teachings out on the back of your hands; etch it on the chambers of your heart...the returns on me exceed any imaginable bonus...awake and get ready for Me each morning.  There is a foundational truth in Proverbs:  "You will hear and live My Wisdom only if first you fear Me, if you fall before Me in desperate terror and draw near to Me in trusting awe."  66LL

  1. Hopefully it was the Wise move for this sister to make her son (who will soon be going back down to North Carolina) and husband (who she has been struggling with lately) deviled eggs first thing this morning instead of finding one particular verse that stood out to her.

Have a nice day, my Wise sisters!
    Love you,
    Angie xoxo

  2. For me, today is not the best translation using the Message. I don't like name calling, slang, or trying to make words more relevant (i.e. blockhead, whore, mall) I struggle with the degree it personifies wisdom, sanity, knowledge, discretion...It just feels irreverant. Probably a wise woman would not have commented.

"Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the LORD"-NKJV

  3. Just last evening, I underlined a prayer in Henry Nouens'"The Dance of Life." The first sentence of the prayer: Lead me into this silence so that my words may be spoken in your name and thus be fruitful.

So first, forgive me for my negativity & wrestling with all this out loud. Second, I pray for restraint for this mouth, and His wisdom and discretion.

On another note, Karen M, who joined us last year reading the Bible chronologically, is having gall bladder surgery on Friday. Please keep her in your prayers. Her blog is "A Time for Everything" if you'd like to drop by and leave her a note. http://poppybird-karen.blogspot.com/
