January 9 "Awareness of God" Genesis 27-29

Genesis 28:16 - "Surely the Lord was in this place and I was not aware of it."  It is the nearness of God that is my good---and yet, do I know He is in this circumstance, in this place, in this person, in this story.  Surely.  Jacob's sleep was sweet. Awakened. A dream now over.  A lingering awe.  We know in truth that God is everywhere.  But there are moments when a signal token of His Presence resonates within and the eyes of our hearts are opened.  And we "know not" because we didn't expect to meet God there.  May we look for those moments and fully embrace this life of ours.  He is "in" your next thing.

  1. The deceiver is deceived. In non-Biblical terms, this is karma. In Biblical terms, this is the Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. We should be ever mindful as to how our behavior today may affect us tomorrow. Choose wisely.

    My prayer today:
LORD, help me to walk in righteousness and truth, ever mindful of your presence in my life.
