December 14 "Darling Sins, No More" Hebrews 12

Either you win the crown of glory or
you have everlasting misery for your portion. Matthew Henry Commentary
There are sins that easily entangle us in our story, this life.
Maybe we face it by longevity, familiarity, comfort, same old circumstances.
Whatever.
This exhortation.
"Throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Pioneer and Perfecter of faith."  Hebrews 12:1-2.
That cloud of witnesses---they are watching, cheering us on.
That darling sin must be "subdued."
What is it?
What's the point here.
Steadfast.  Perseverance.
Looking to Christ.  For that pioneer of power and presence.

DEAR GOD, PLEASE CHANGE ME IN MY 10,000 MOMENTS.  Darling sins.  May I let them go today, tomorrow, forever.  Help me to know this day what it means to fix my eyes on you in these particular circumstances in which I sit.  May I hear the better word.

You have come to God by the sprinkling of the blood that speaks a better word. Heb 12:23

PHOTO:  Baited with breath. Watching a fisherman lure the catch. May I pull in, draw up, catch the Christ of this world, and let the darling sins sink deep in the sea of my life.  No feet to these darling sins. Plunged to an abyss.
