November 12 "DO NOT APPLY" 2 Corinthians 9, 10

There is a person who gave to us so large, so liberally, so lovingly.
It was the power of God stirring in their lives.
Effectual, eminent Love of God.

"This service that you perform
is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people
but the service is also
overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God."
That's it.  Not only did they meet elephantine needs in our lives,
they also overflowed to their God in beautiful expressions of thanks.
"Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves,
others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies
your confession of the gospel of Christ,
and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.
And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you,
because of the surpassing grace God has given you.
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!" 2 Cor 9:15.
Oh, that we could just live this way, always.

Therefore...what's the therefore there for?
We demolish
every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God.
2 Cor 10:5
There are a thousand stories all around me.  Yet.
They cannot disprove or make me doubt.
They cannot silence me, confound me, confuse me.
Because we live not by circumstance or attitude.  We live by faith.
All those standards of this world, DO NOT APPLY.
They are full of air, high-towering thoughts that don't count for eternity.
Cast down those things you've crowned.
Be enlightened by the Only One Who matters.
In all our service, we bow down.

DEAR GOD, PLEASE CHANGE US IN OUR 10,000 MOMENTS OF SERVICE.  My heartfelt prayer this day is 2 Cor. 10:15.  May my sphere of activity expand.  Amen.
