November 7 "Wake Me Up Before It's Over" Romans 13, 14

Owe no one anything, except to love one another.  Romans 13:8.  Our time is always drawing near.  We are one day closer to the day when we see Jesus face-to-face.  "It is already time for you to awaken out of sleep." Romans 13:11.  If we are spiritually dead, what good comes from our lives?  Why do we neglect the commandments of God and not give deep pensive thought to what stirs within?

Paul teaches us everyday life-giving truths we must face every single day.
* Wake up
* Consider your busy times
* Mind your own ways
* Mend your own pace
* Make yourselves ready
* Dress your own souls
The time is now.  This moment.  This day in our history.  What will we do with this Christ?   Far too many slumber in spiritual deadness, neglecting the tugging of their souls for God.  When it's really dark in our houses and hearts, what do we entertain?  We are either moving toward Light or stumbling in the dark.

Observe what we must put on; how we should dress our souls. Put on the armour of light.

For none of us lives to himself.  Romans 14:7

Now to Him Who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ...and by the Scriptures is made known for obedience of faith."  Romans 14:25.

It is our God Who establishes us.  I have no better words to use for the weighty Shawl of Light we must find in our every days.

COME BOLDLY:  Timeless Prayers
Dear Father, There are way more of us spiritually dead than Christ followers will ever admit.  What can we do to wake up?  This frozen state of mind, these icy words, these chilling thoughts, these apathetic brain freezes, this dead-as-a-doornail heart---thaw out every one of us!
