February 16 "The Warp or The Woof" Leviticus 11-13

Old Testament laws.  We are no longer under the law.  They were looking forward and we no longer look backwards.  We are partakers of the Divine Nature.  Francis Chan said tonight:  "We have obtained equal standing with everyone---like Peter."  Given all things that pertain to life and godliness. II Peter 1:3.  For that very reason.  Give it all up.  Make every effort.  Knowledge.  Self Control.  Steadfast.  Godliness.  Love.  "Don't be so nearsighted that you are blind."  We have Him here.  When Chan spoke tonight about looking at things Unseen.  What are we really looking at every day?  The warp or the woof?  Or the Invincible, Immutable, Incomprehensible God?

Father, it is incomprehensible that we can partake of your Divine Nature.  The Israelites looked forward and thought they'd give anything to be at that place.  You are Here.  Invade my day, this moment, with your Holy Presence.

  1. Lev. 12:8 "The priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean."

Heb 9:12 "He entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption."

    Jesus paid it all.
    All to Him I owe.
Sin had left a crimson stain.
He washed it white as snow.

  2. Had to Google "warp and woof." Very interesting! Love the depth of application in His Word!

  3. The warp and the woof is an old New Orleans expression. It's the full picture of the make-up of life---a metaphor. The OT used it as "warp or woof." No more! It's both warp and woof of our entire beautiful life in Christ.
