February 9 "Keep The Sabbath" Exodus 30-32

When God speaks, it's His Plan, His Words.  May we listen like never before.  May we trust Him to enter our story and lift us up to His Story.  May He make us hungrier for Him than for anything for which we thirst.  May He rescue us from those dark places where we shiver because He has already rescued us from the Dominion of Darkness like Egypt represents.  But the pains and problems remained.  And, may we be more consumed with God and His Kingdom than with anything else weighing in, weighing on us.  The pains, illnesses, distance, abmitions of this world.
And we listen well to this verse:  Exodus 32:12-14 "Above all you shall keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you. You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you."  And it is the Finger of God that has written these words.  What will I do with this singular life of mine?  Will I worship the Lord of the Sabbath in the midst of my own mess?  Will I adore Him even if He leaves me in the wilderness?  Will I wrestle well with whatever blocks my joy?  Will I enter this life of mine, just as it is, to find freedom in this unshakeable Kingdom.

God says He revealed His Power by setting us free,
His Holiness by letting us know how we must live to stay close to Him,
His Passionate Love by moving in with us.  66 LL.

COME BOLDLY:  Timeless Prayers
Lord, You gave them 10 Commandments in a wilderness.  They couldn't keep them there or anywhere.  Same with us.  May we feel the weight of Your Holiness here.  You've called people who are condemned to be free and flesh out that freedom.  We stand holy only in Your Presence. You see our hearts and yet You still want a relationship with us.  We cannot thank you enough.

  1. I stood on my head last night to post this. It just wouldn't work.

And, yes, I have lost my Come Boldly book. Annette, can you post the Come Boldly selections, again, when you can.

Thank you so much for doing this together. I just love it. How is it that we can read this for the 7th year in a row and it's like I've never read it before???

    1. I agree Bev, after reading this for seven years in a row, new things keep jumping off the page at me and it's as though I never ever read it in my entire life. Blows me away every single time it happens. Truly is the Word of God that is alive and sharper than a two edged sword. What a blessing it is. So sorry about the Come Boldly book. Bet it turns up when you quit looking for it.
