208 - "His Word Doesn't Return Empty" Isaiah 54-56

Though this mountain is shaking and the hill is removed, 

yet My Unfailing Love for you! will not be shaken; 

nor my covenant of peace be removed, 

said the Lord Who has compassion on you." 

Isa 54:10

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven

and do not return there but water the earth,

making it bring forth and sprout,

giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;

it shall not return to me empty,

but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,

and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.  Isaiah 55:10-11.

Come. Come with all your longings. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. The efficacy of nature depicts the rain and the snow coming down from heaven yielding seed and bread. Same for God's Word. It will not return to God empty. Do I have that fixed in my mind today?

Seek the Lord while He may be found.  He is near.

His Word is in our mouths.  

He will accomplish all that concerns us.

Our Counselor, His Word, will succeed.

We will find Peace that this world cannot give.
