The Author & Finisher of my little life.
The Truth found in Isaiah 45 is for all those who long for the redemption of Israel. All those waiting for a Savior. The Truth is for everyone redeemed. Our God is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He has initiated everything for our good. He will bring it to completion. "Ask Him about the things to come concerning His Hands.""I will go before you and make the rough places smooth.
Our God is always doing us good, no matter what we see.
I will give you the treasures of darkness."
So that things work out in your world? No
"So that you may know that it is I,
the LORD
The really amazing thing about God making the rough places smooth--even when the circumstances don't improve, but He gives us His perspective to deal with it so that even the rough places can become smooth.
ReplyDeleteJuan's wife Mirella described the familiar "peace that passes understanding" that God had given her through these past few days since her husband's death. "A strange calm" she spoke of--and we both knew He was carrying her through this time, making the rough places bearable, smooth sailing. Is it what she had planned? No... But bearable and even strangely peaceful.
And even in this time of mourning--she sings the new song He's given her. In the difficult times and the good, "To God be the glory."
ReplyDeleteI am a person whose "hope meter" is always full, today's reading filled it to overflowing. These verses really spoke to me.
Indeed, the Lord will comfort Zion;
He will comfort all her waste places.
And her wilderness He will make like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the Lord;
Joy and gladness will be found in her,
Thanksgiving and sound of a melody.
These verses in Isaiah 45, He gave to me when we moved the law office home to my living room....and there were plenty of rough places and He most definitely made them smooth and continues to do so. He is a faithful God!! He has shown Himself to me over and over and His mercies are new every morning and He truly is faithful to His word. Hope never fails and there are so many lost ones out there who who NO hope.....I do NOT know how they even get up and face each day. Some days, it is hard with Him....can not imagine what it is without Him!! Unspeakable....He is our Hope!!
