It may be really dark for you right now,
God is shining His Light in that very darkness. Psalm 112:4
If we are really honest, we know that there are those moments when we feel that God has forgotten about the mess we are in. Forgotten about me. Deep down we have to know that it is not truth. Isaiah 49:15-16 God says that He will not forget Zion. He has inscribed their name on the palm of His Hands. I cannot interpret the silence of God as forgetfulness. God knows every part of our story. The real question is whether I can trust Him with what He allows.
"Who is among you that fears the Lord,
That obeys the voice of His servant,
That walks in darkness an has no light?
Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely on His God.
Isaiah 50:10-11
I stand in a very dark place this day.
Blind Trust of a very Good God,
A God Who is Always Doing Us Good.
Help us all, God,
to not light our own fires,
and walk in that light,
but to wait for the True Light to shine in darkness.

PRAYER FROM PSALMS
Psalm 112:4
Oh, God, make us gracious compassionate righteous people.
You promise in this verse that even in darkness, light dawns
for those who are upright. And that is what being upright
is all about.
