August 18 "Might is not Right" Jeremiah 23:10

Jer 23:10
Both prophet and priest are polluted.
Their course also is evil.
And their might is not right.

Jer 23:17
“They keep saying to those who despise Me,
‘The Lord has said, “You will have peace”’;
‘Calamity will not come upon you.’

Do we speak like these prophets
Out of our own imagination what we think is right.
No one wants to suffer.
Yet may our own lack of peace move us today
To deal with our own wicked hearts.

  1. "And this is His name by which He will be called,
‘The Lord our righteousness.’ Jer. 23:6

There is a piece of good news for me this morning. I'm far from where He is calling me. The clay (my life) is dried out and needing an infusion of His Living Water. I'm aware and thankful that my righteousness is found solely in Him.

So this crisp, fall-ish morning I return to His House. I'm searching for a new church, but I know the perfect one is simply the one I invest in. Blessed Sunday, Pearls. Will you join me at the Potter's House?

    Beautiful Lord, wonderful saviour
I know for sure, all of my days are held in Your hands
    Crafted into Your perfect plan

You gently call me, into Your presence
Guiding me by, Your Holy Spirit
    Teach me dear Lord
To live all of my life through Your eyes

I'm captured by, Your Holy calling
    Set me apart
I know You're drawing me to Yourself
    Lead me Lord I pray

    Take me, Mold me
    Use me, Fill me
I give my life to the Potter's hands
    Call me, Guide me
    Lead me, Walk beside me
I give my life to the Potter's hand

  2. This stood out the most to me today:

Then I Myself will gather the remnant of My flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and bring them back to their pasture, and they will be fruitful and multiply. I will also raise up shepherds over them and they will tend them; and they will not be afraid any longer, nor be terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the Lord.
