July 6 "The LORD Has Been Mindful of You" Psalm 115:12

...
Psalm 115:1 - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
But to Your name give glory
Why should others say,
“Where, now, is their God?”  But our God is in the heavens;
He does whatever He pleases.
Those against us ---
Their idols are silver and gold,
The work of man’s hands.
And, whatever we make an idol,
we become like that idol.

Take courage, The LORD has been mindful of you.
He will bless you through those who help you.  Psalm 115:12.
We all face distress. What do I do with the dilemmas?                                                                               Call Him
Yes, the LORD answered me and set me in a large place. Psalm 118:5                                                                       The LORD is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?
The LORD is for me among those who help me.  Do not refuse help.  Psalm 118:7

Every day, I come to the Word and it is so fresh.
I walk away knowing a little bit more about my God, myself, my life.
I don't need things like I used to.
Don't need things to happen like I thought they should have.
It is called moving from the denial of depending on things into
Living fully in this present moment and
Do not be enslaved to the next moment, next event.
Iaian Matthew once said:  Love not as consumers, but community.

PRAYER FORM PSALMS
God, give us steadfast, trusting hearts, no matter what the news.
But more than that, give us eyes to see what we are really doing in this life.
Living for idols made from hands:  vacations, clothing, showcases, even wisdom.
Help us to really see what clings to our hands.  Free us from what is not right with You.

  1. He is all this and so much more:

    Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
    But to Your name give glory
    Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth.
    Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
    Yes, our God is compassionate.

    The Lord preserves the simple;
    I was brought low, and He saved me.
    Return to your rest, O my soul,
    For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
    For You have rescued my soul from death,
    My eyes from tears,
    My feet from stumbling.
    I shall walk before the Lord

    You are my God, and I give thanks to You;
    You are my God, I extol You.
    Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
    For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
