God will give Light to my Darkness by His Word.
How do we keep our way pure?
Search for God with all your heart and
You will keep the Word. verses 9
Treasuring it. Rejoicing over it. Meditating on it. Delighting in it.
PRAYER FROM PSALMS
Open my eyes that I may behold
Wonderful Things from Your Word. verse 18
Strengthen me according to Your Word. verse 28
Enlarge my heart, O God. verse 38
Turn away my eyes from looking at vanity,
And revive me in Your Ways that we all may truly live. verse 36
"The most valuable thing the Psalms do for me is to express the same delight in God which made David dance." C.S. Lewis
To know that the same God Who created the Heavens and the Earth out of nothing is creating Wonderful Things in me that I do not know and do not understand---out of nothing---is pure delight. Wonder what He is up to this very moment?
OVERVIEW: Psalm 119:1-88
There is so much in today's reading. What spoke to me is the psalmist's repetition of meditating on God's statutes and asking God to revive him.
ReplyDeleteI pray our Sabbath is filled with time in His Word, with Him, and finding ourselves revived spiritually, mentally, and physically by Him.
Amen!
DeleteWe are indeed revived, rekindled, restored in His awesome Word. We need it as food for our souls. That Jesus would also be called The Word the Logos, as the complete revelation of the Word, the Promise made flesh gives us great reason to meditate on The Word of God. This is more than a handbook, more than a tool. Within the pages of our Bible is our very life message.
ReplyDeleteOh! The Word of God. So active. So alive. The Word of God.
