By The Sea
Egypt rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea. Psa 106:7.I've never seen that. By the sea/ at the sea.
Oh, the arrogance in which we live.
The self-obsession.
They rebelled at the very spot where they were saved.
Nevertheless ... He saved them!
Our God is always saving us, doing us good.
And they quickly forgot His Works. Psa 106:10
And we do, too.
They craved intensely in the wilderness.
And what is the point here?
What is that I crave in this wilderness of mine?
They cried out to their LORD in their trouble.
He saved them out of their distresses.
He sent His Word and healed them. Psalm 106:20
Oh, please send Your Word to heal my soul.
Oh, for faith to believe him in my mess.
May I be more concerned for cancer of my soul
than cancer of my body.
PRAYER FROM PSALMS
You breathed into a writer:
Their souls melted away in their misery.
And, again, He brought them out of their distresses.
Our prayer, this day, would you bring us out
Cause this storm to be still
so that the waves crashing in our souls are hushed.
Psalm 107:29.
You can see that it says that I posted at 2:30am. But it did not go through. I think I forgot to hit publish so it just saved it. My apologies. And after I stayed up to do it! My late nights are numbered. I am a night owl when I can sleep in. Problem is that I cannot sleep in on this trip. I'll be up for the sunrise at 5:53am.
