Stand tall.
Like a tree planted by waters.
Who bears fruit in its season---when God comes & calls.
So, stand with me and make a covenant to walk after our God. Just as each of these kings had to make decisions in their hearts, every day we face a decision. To Whom shall we go. No One else has the Truth. What will we do with this Christ?
PRAYER FROM PSALMS
Father, make us stand strong like that tree planted by rivers of Living Water. In due season. Not when we think things should happen but when You want them to happen.

Jerusalem is in trouble. Assyria is after them.
ReplyDeleteBut Hezekiah and Isaiah prayed.
And the Lord saved them and guided them on every side.
Where do I turn in times of trouble? I love Peter's words to Jesus in such a common-sense way, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.” (John 6:68)
Where else could we turn that would supply us with everything we need to live victoriously? Where else would I want to go?
Not that following Christ is always easy. But then I look back over my life and see the testimony He's given me. There have been times when I had questions I couldn't answer, situations I felt certain I could not face. And He alone pulled me through, and not just limping along but with victory ultimately, and with grace along each step of the way. He's the only One I can trust with my life whatever I am facing.
Jesus is our only and magnificent Hope for this life and into eternity.
Thanks for sharing your testimony.
ReplyDeleteAs we read about the kings who humble themselves and pray, we see the Lord answering quickly.Once again a godly king turns to the Lord and his country is saved from captivity for a while longer.
ReplyDeleteMay we take the freedom we have in Christ and not be held captive through unconfessed sin and sin we we refuse to turn away from.
