Heaven is my Home.
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. I John 1:5. This baby born in Bethlehem. Faithful and Righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness of this moment. Forever. A Savior is born. This darkness. No More. This Advocate Who has been here from the Beginning. "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father." I John 1:2. Our sin doesn't mean we do not belong to Him. We are of the dominion who belong to God. This Son of God has come. And that changed everything! "Born that men no more may die." So, keep yourself from the love of this world and be kept by the power of God. "For outlandish creatures like us, on our way to a heart, a brain, and courage, Bethlehem is not the end of our journey but only the beginning---not home but the place through which we must pass if ever we are to reach home at last." Oh! Laodicea, you thought you were doing okay. But, no. You talked your way right into heaven but you didn't end up there: "I am rich and have become wealthy and have need of nothing." Rev 3:17. And, God spits you out of his mouth. Don't you know that you were wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. Yet, where we are today, we cannot easily say those kind of statements or we miss the revelation of our purpose here. The whole Bible is revelatory. And this book hones in on the end of the world. John, abandoned on an island, calls for holiness not happiness here. Sovereign Dominion over all things beckons us to go deeper into love and life. Shall the One Who carried the Cross for our shame withhold any good thing from us? "Tokens of Love." I know your tribulations. I know your poverty. Rev. 2:9.
