September 25 "Competing With Horses" Acts 4

"If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?" Jeremiah 12:5. Here are Peter and John before the Council. They fear not the wrath of this Council. Yet all those who stand before them are not in their favor. They have run with the footmen. And, they are released. Acts 4:23. And they go back to their own company. They don't seek a higher ground. They don't have to be with the elite. Not puffed up at all. They went to those who care for them. May we learn not to seek greater things for ourselves.
