September 26 "Our Sin Is Against God" Acts 5

Our sin is against God. But, sometimes we just don't see that. And like Ananias and Sapphira, we take matters into our own hands. We think we need something, someone, some event, some attention, some experience. "Sin blinds us so that we choose short-term gains in this life, heedless of the long-term loss in the next life." IVP. And this sudden death of this couple is chilling: "the narrative is bad news for any who would take a casual approach to entering the Kingdom of God." IVP. Oh! That we might see our own sin against God!
