Read with me cover-to-cover. 2024. Share what I've learned in the dark, in the light. Start the Old & on January 1st. About 3 chapters per day. About 15 minutes of your day. Join us as the "axe of Biblical Love thaws the frozen parts" (66LL) in our hearts. My focus this year is sharing what God has done for me over the years---and trusting God to weave every single day.

August 2 "In Adversity, You Will Hear A Voice" Isaiah 28-33
They come near me with their mouths.
They honor me with their lips.
But their hearts are far from Me.
Their worship is made up of rules
that come from merely humans. Isa 29:13
Yet the Sovereign Lord says:
In quietness and trust is your strength.
But they wanted none of it. Isa 30:15
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you
Therefore, He will rise up and show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for Him. Isa 30:18
Cry for help.
Although He gives you the bread of adversity.
Although He gives you the water of affliction,
whether you turn to the right or to the left,
your ears will hear a voice behind you saying,
"This is the way; walk in it." Isa 30:21
This chapter has meant more to me over
the last three decades. I carry these words daily.
Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
who rely on horses,
who trust in the multitude of their chariots
and in the great strength of their horsemen,
but do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
or seek help from the Lord. Isa 31:1
To Whom or what do I turn this day, this hour?
