David was in a great strait in this psalm of which we know not. But we know our own straits. I sit in one this very day. A physical strait as they straighten out my oncology tests that have gone awry. David composed himself in his tough patch and found a rest in the Lord. May I find that kind of rest knowing the dark night. God brought me through this day where I thought I couldn't handle one more second inside of a machine. May I find rest in God alone not the solution of my problems.
“But now, Lord, what do I look for?
My hope is in you. Psalm 39:7
