“Then you shall appoint your cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee there, who kills any person at unawares.” Numbers 35:11. Cities of refuge were for innocent people who killed unintentionally. It came about because of deep rooted love of the nearest of kinsmen to take revenge on their close relative and find him immediately and kill him. Christ is a refuge for guilty sinners, not the innocent. We must take a look within and listen. Our God will have nothing to come between us and the sincere worship of His own Invisible Self.
