February 2 "Pray Always" Leviticus 5-7
The occasions of sin is great in all our lives. Therefore, all these offerings. But today, it's our very lives. "Fear always, and pray always, that we may be kept from sin. Also we should look before us at every step. The true Christian daily pleads guilty before God." M. Henry. No more burnt offerings. We are alive in him and He dwells within.
Wow! All these offerings and all those people! What a slaughter house!
ReplyDeleteDo not eat the fat of cows, sheep, or goats.
Do not eat the blood of birds or animals.
If you think about these dietary restrictions that make very good sense, especially in a culture that likes fatty meats. (It makes it taste good, but at what expense.)
My prayer today:
LORD, thank you that the need to sacrifice all these animals and birds has been done away with. Thank you that you have found a better way for the forgiveness of my sins. I am sorrowful that it was at the expense of your Son's life.
