January 20 "The Finger of God" Exodus 7-9

The finger of God speaks of a Power that no human owns. The magicians even knew that. Power was beyond their abilities.  No one could match this power.  God placed an embargo on Egypt's evil magicians yet Pharaoh wouldn't bend, wouldn't bow.  Out of his own pride and wanting the people subject to him. May we this very day forsake the kingdom of self and fall face forward toward the Kingdom of God.  We are all placed in moments that are designed to take us beyond ourselves, beyond our own power, beyond our character and wisdom, so that we seek the help and hope found only in the only God above. The finger of God on each of our lives this day.

  1. "Let my people go, so that they may worship me" Five (5) times this is repeated through this section of scripture.

Obvious it is important to God that as His people that we worship Him in a proper manner. With religion being threatened by the "politically correct", there may be a time when our worship services will be banned and we will be required to worship the Beast of Revelation.

    My prayer today:
LORD, we are blessed in this country with Freedom of Religion. May it ever be so for us, our children, and our children's children. Thank you that we may worship you openly in the United States of America. Protect against false gods.
