God awakened you this new year, this new shiny unheard of day. Brand new. Live in the moment. It directs all your tomorrows. God has drawn a measuring line. He is the Backdrop for this upcoming sovereign year. His footing holds this world and your story is sure. And the morning stars sing Job 38:7. I feel unsure about what's to come and all we can do is lean in hard.
Sometimes, I'm like Peter cutting off an ear of a soldier---messy lives. So, let the Light shine in our darkness. Genesis 1 says God hovers like a baby bird over "that thing." The Spirit of God moved and the darkness dispersed. May our dark crevices be flooded this year with shimmering Light that changes everything.
Yes, live in the moment. There is only NOW! Not only is he a hovering God, but the God who provides the way out, the Savior.

DeleteI wonder how time looks to God. I imagine it as a global type measure, not as a linear timeline as we count time. God sees all past present and future.
