January 3 "Covered By A Blanket of Grace" Genesis 8-11

Dear Kids, "God remembered..." is my prayer for all of us that we hang on to that truth.  Therefore, we are all held.   I think all of us have forgotten in the last 24 hours---and at moments every day of our lives.  God remembers.  And there is Grace.  Upon Grace.  And when things bother deeply, doesn't it mean we care so much.  May we know this day, we are a remembered tribe.  And that changes everything.  I hope I remember how much I want new eyes, new ears, a new voice.  And to be like the two brothers in Genesis 9:26 covering their father's shame.  Moving in to truly love. Wonder what that looks like in this life of ours?  I know it's not a safe dismissiveness.  No.  No cool distances.  Move to love.  Thank you for loving me and all my weaknesses, besetting sins, imperfections.

  1. Noah listened to the Lord, he stayed close to Him.

Then God said to Noah, “Go out from the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons' wives with you. Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh—birds and animals and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth—that they may swarm on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.”

There is part of me that wonders if I would have run out of the Ark instead of waiting until the Lord said go. Not as much now, but at times in my life, I ran ahead of the Lord doing what He impressed my heart to do, but do waiting for His perfect timing.

May we stay on His ordained path for us and proceed in His timing.

  2. Such a beautiful sense of waiting on God to make a move. I'm still at times thinking of what is best rather than calling upon the Name.
