January 25 "An Angel Goes Ahead of You" Exodus 22-24

Dear Kids,  Something just happened in this hospital bed. There will be much you don't understand.  Pay very close attention when God suddenly shows up.  He did for me today as I stay overnight here in a hospital.  “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. Pay attention to him and listen to what he says."  Exo 23:20.  You never know when an angel might show up.  Her name today was Barb.  God spoke through her about prioritizing like the ER at a hospital.  Prioritize by proximity and eternity. There are angels ahead of us.

PHOTO:  Angels then.  Angels now.  I stood here a few years ago so moved by the experience.  And yet, here I am at a hospital, moved again.  For it is the One from the Beginning of Time who holds us.

  1. God provides: I am going to send an angel before you to protect you as you journey and to bring you into the place that I have prepared.

  2. oh how I saw Him go before me this past week and how He had everything in total control and i just lay there and praised His name and His goodness and felt comforted and not afraid, I too was in the hospital for 3 and a half days, God is so good even in the extra hard times. Maybe even is not the correct word....He is good all the time. Things done't have to turn out good or pleasant. He's in control thus its all good ultimately.

  4. Hey, Bev. Had you and Mary Lou in my prayers. Prayed for recovery, and for answers. Fear is the enemy. His peace, His control -we all are carried! Praise Him in this store.

  5. I will never forget the moment going into the ambulance where I felt like I was dying. Never have quite felt that bad. As they lifted me into the emergency truck, lifeless, I thought: All I can do is surrender. It was a physical sign to me. Here I go---surrendered. It's how we are meant to live. Surrendered.
