January 17 "The Concourse of Providence" Genesis 48-50

Dear Sons and Daughters, Whatever has happened to you, no one has contradicted your dreams. No one has made you a slave to anything. “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." Gen 50:19-20.  It was sin and the brothers must own it.  But.  The concourse of God.  The watercourse of Providence directs the evil "having no concern in the ataxy of it, but in the issue, through His infinite wisdom, causes it to work for good" to bring about this very day in history, theirs and yours.

  1. God used Joseph mightily in His plan to deliver His people. I believe Joseph would not have been a part of the plan if he had not forgiven his brothers when he was in the dungeon. Lord, show us if there is a single seed of unforgiveness in our heart.
