October 17 "Owned" Acts 7-8

Blasphemer.  Stephen.
Bold. Rhetoric.
Truth.  Prophet.
This.  Speech.
Phenomenal.   Acts 7

"The slow steps by which the Promise made to Abraham advances toward performance, plainly show that the land intended was the heavenly."  Matthew Henry
Stephen's speech brings the Jews back to their beginnings.
What land am I living for today?
Just like "God owned Joseph in his troubles,"
God owns me.
His favor is now on Stephen.
His favor is on us.
Suffering times are growing times in all of us.
God is working good.  His Good.
Just like Moses was saved as a helpless infant,
God will take care of even me today.
Let us not be discouraged at the slowness of the fulfilling of God's promises.
Do not live deceived like these Jews, blindly closing their eyes.
God is always doing us good.  He knows.  He sees.
And that good may be in a burning bush or the wilderness of our very day.
We will not be consumed.

DEAR GOD, PLEASE CHANGE ME IN MY 10,000 MOMENTS OF Wonder and Wilderness.  Speak comfort to us in the places where we wander and wonder.  Oh God, have mercy on us all!
