What stirs in you? Does your heart pull to righteousness or does it pull to speaking your own mind, following your own heart, saying 'It shall be well with you'and 'No disaster shall come upon you' to those who don't like what God is doing. We offer such vain hope, such shallow rest.
"Am I a God at hand, declares the LORD, and not a God far away?" Jer 23:23
" I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back... I will build them up, and not tear them down; I will plant them, and not pluck them up. I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart." Jer 24:6-7
Strive to enter that kind of rest so that you don't fall or fail and follow your own heart. Heb 4:11. Ask yourself: Am I more at rest *Today* than I was last circumstance?

You covered it so well, Bev. My heart needs this reassurance in knowing our Jesus knows what it's like to be human and can empathize with us. He knows our frame. He knows our struggles. He knows our hearts that can be so wayward at times.
