Heb 6:19 "Anchor of Hope" (October 30)

We all want to know God, find Him.
Right in the middle of our messes.
May we let every single desire we have
for things that are right and good
Strengthen our Resolve to be Holy.
Disturb what is foolish.
Disrupt what is arrogant.
Refresh my appetite.
Release my love.

May I know that Sure & Steadfast
Anchor of Hope.

We feel sure of better things
Things that belong to salvation.
Hebrews 6:18

We have a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul.
A hope that enters into the Inner Places of God.
Hebrews 6:19

  1. I can't tell you how often I come here with a highlighted verse to share and it's identical to yours, Bev. This beautiful anchor of hope gripped my heart this morning.

All because of Jesus, we have an Anchor that holds us steady through the storms of life. God rent the curtain that separated us. Jesus, our High Priest, took on our sin, made atonement for us, and we now have access to God! Full assurance for a future and a hope for our souls.

Even after all these years of walking with Him, I'm still so taken by this Act of Love. May I never lose my awe of Him.

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."

  3. Annette, I just feel so much on the same wavelength with you and the pearls here. Can't tell you how much this place means to me! Love you so! I'm in midst of a mess but in all the confusion, I have a strong sense of God's Presence and Rest like I've never known before. An Anchor for my hurting soul. I'm secure.

  4. That's a good way to put it--on the same wavelength. We are, planting in our minds the same words from Him each day, all fine tuning (and sometimes majorly tuning!) our hearts to Him and from that holy place tuning to each other.

I so love this place of refuge each day. A place to recharge and to realign and find community of sweet sisters on similar paths. May we glorify Him in it.

Mary Lou, that is one of my favorite songs too. I was singing in the shower yesterday morning after sitting here a while. "His anchor holds within the veil." Not sure I ever connected it with the Scripture from Hebrews or grasped the fullness of its meaning before. WITHIN the veil inside the Holy of Holies dwelling with the "With Us" God, Jesus our Emmanuel. LOVE this Scripture and promise even more this day...
