*CONSIDER* yourself under Grace.
*PRESENT* yourself to God not to sin.
*OBEY* from your Heart.
Romans 6:16-17
*RECEIVE* Comfort from God's Hand
*DOUBLE* for all your sins
*LIFTED UP* valleys
*LOWERED* mountains
*LEVELED* uneven ground, the rough places
Isaiah 40:4 - all for the Glory of God
A teenager engaged in a conversation with me recently about how hard it is to obey from the heart. It is the cry of their soul but their actions waver. How do you present yourself to God not to sin? It is what we "do" but it has nothing to do with doing good things. It's a heart issue where you long for something more than Someone.
How do we receive Comfort from a God Who wants to give it out? Double Stakes!!! Down come our mountains; up come our valleys that He might be Glorified not that we might have Closure or Solutions or Trouble-Free lives.
What is God doing in the universe right this minute?
In your universe, He is tending to you and to your children.
*GATHERING* them in His Strong and Loving Arms.
*CARRYING* them in His Bosom.
*LEADING* us oh-so-gently.
Yes, the One Who has measured the whole world
*GIVES* power to the faint,
*INCREASES* strength of those who have no might
*RENEWS* the strength of the faint and exhausted
*MOUNTS* us up to run and not be weary, walk & not faint.
Some days, on the inside, we feel we cannot run but some days, we cannot even walk, we feel so faint in our hearts. Renew us all, O God, the Measurer of Grace and Glory!
For the flower withers and fades but the Word of God is alive forever. What a blessed thought that is and how it comforts me today.
ReplyDeleteFor all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.
These two thoughts are going to sustain me today and enable me to mount up like the wings of an eagle and soar above the nitty gritty things that are here on earth facing each one of us today.
