Paul finds some religious people in Ephesus who know nothing about the power of the Holy Spirit. And when they are told, they are surprised in Power, as they believe. Oh, may we never live short-circuited from the Power within all of us. These people did not know what was available; we do. These people feared the judgment of man more than the Judgment of God. No more!
As we all move one day closer to the day that we enter Eternity, may we consider what is in front of us and not act rashly as they did in Ephesus. LORD, help us to weigh Eternal Matters in Everyday Things.
Disturb us today where we are complacent in our religious ways.
Disrupt our thoughts for gain here and now.
I woke up immobilized in a fearful thought last night of something horrible that could happen. My husband encouraged me to deal with what was going on inside of my very own soul to wake me in fear. God, You have already delivered us from our sins---deliver us from the evil within and without. And my tears fall.
May the Word of the LORD continue to increase and prevail mightily in each of our lives ~ Acts 19:20
Yes. May the word of the Lord continue to increase and prevail mightily! Amen.
