I Cor 15:43 "Immovable" (August 24)

The balance of Christianity rested in the Resurrection.  All the false claims against Jesus are no more.

Sown in Dishonor.
Raised in Glory.
Sown in Weakness.
Raised in Power.
I Cor 15:43

Therefore.
Be Steadfast.
Immovable.
Always Abounding in the work of the Lord.
Know this ----
Your labor is never in vain.
I Cor 15:58

Whatever I face this day,
May I cling to the immovable thought.

  1. "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,"

I'm realizing more and more how short this crazy life is here on Earth. In one of my deep conversations with my son when we were trying to figure it all out, it all came down to our legacy. How do we want to be remembered? Will anyone remember us in 50 years or will we soon be forgotten? I want them to see Him when they look in my eyes and I want them to know that I trusted Him with every part of my life and that did not change based on circumstances.

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Christians remember David as a man after God's own heart. God looks at the heart and is pleased with integrity. What a touching speech and prayer by David today in Chronicles! And one where we can learn much about legacy!

First, his words to his son, Solomon before the assembly: "And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought.... Be strong and do the work" And he adds, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you."

Then, his prayer from an overflowing heart, "Everything comes from You, O God. . .

I know that You test hearts and are pleased with integrity."

Goodbye, David., son of Jesse . .until we meet again. You will be one of the ones I want to have a chat with in heaven.
