I Cor 15:20 "W A K E U P --- Resurrection of the Dead" (August 23)

My friend said to me today: "I don't want to live." I looked into her tears and replied: "No, what you are really saying is that your PAIN is so overwhelming because look at the life you live for others---it's beautiful." Oh God, there are so many of us overwhelmed with pain.  What are my tears for?  Is it for something in this life?

Today, my tears fall for something for Eternity that God so wants to bring to life.  Someone I love and cherish is so dead in their sins.  They are caught up in this life only.  I Cor 15:19 ~ Is our Hope in this life only???  We are to be pitied!~!

Our Christ is raised from the dead! Hallelujah!
By this, Son of Man there is now a REsurReCTiON of the DEAD---
That is all of us who are dead in places in our hearts.

Pastor Paul writes SO many words to his church in Corinth.
He calls himself----  Least.  Unworthy.
But by the Grace of God, I am what I am.  I Cor 15:10

So W A K E    U P
from your drunken stupor
Do Not Go On Sinning!
This new dawn, we have a juncture in this road we are on.
Will we continue living driven by what tears us up in this life or
Will I move into being driven today by Eternity and things of eternal value?
It is so encouraging to me to know that I can take a new fork in the road today;
I can write a new chapter; I can receive Mercy for this pain of mine;
I can ask for Grace upon Grace for this dead place in my heart;
I can start over again this significant moment;
All Because of the Resurrection!
Paul ends this amazing book ...
there is a Resurrection of the Dead---let it be me, Oh God!

  1. If the dead are not raised, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

    I would give anything to have had all of you sitting around my kitchen table while I had a conversation with my son this morning. He is waiting for his Bar results and is about to enter real life. He's wrestling with his purpose in this world. I pray he gets it... really gets it! There is more to life than having fun but I failed miserably at trying to explain it to him. I'll leave it to God Himself. But, in the meantime I would have loved to have you all helping me! All this to say I so admire all of you!

    Have a great Thursday!
