Psalm 18:28 2 Sam 22:37 John 6:26 "Why Do You Seek Me?" (May 18)

Oh, earthly mess of mine!
My steps take place in the dark
My God is there, O this God Divine
Enlightening my blackness with His mark.
Psalm 18:28

I think I' swinging my doors open wide
But it is my God Who initiated first
My God is right here by my side
Offering me verse by verse!
2 Sam 22:37

"Why do you seek Me?"
Is it for earthly gain
To live my life for me?
To live my life for Thee?
"Why do you seek Me?
For what stirs within
Or for a better life without.
John 6:26

  1. This Psalm today I can't help but sing, Petra-style, almost battle-like!
I will call upon the Lord Who is worthy to be praised.
So shall I be saved from my enemies.
I will call upon the Lord.
The Lord liveth and Blessed be the Rock,
the God of my salvation be exalted.

"For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

It's not this world that we hope in, but the next. And it's an eternal hope, not a fleeting one. Even when we're sinking, we're held up. Even when...He is our Rock of salvation!
