THIS HOUR
Rev 14:15-16 Judgment is coming and it's so hard for me to comprehend where I sit overwhelmed with life today. I'm trying to deal with this hour---Christmas, cancer, cancellations, current circumstances---not with Eternity. Can I find the Eternal One in this present hour?
THAT HOUR
Rev 14:15-16 "Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” So He who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped. I know I'll be swung on the sickle and so will you. Will those we dearly love be sideswiped?
Praying for all our Christmas guests. Fall on our knees and hear the angels sing this present hour, Hosanna~
Those of you who have been stopping in and reading from time to time, we'd LOVE to hear from you as we close this year. Just a word or two about how you are doing. Have so appreciated your stopping by. I know from the amount of hits (lke 500 this week) that people are visiting. I never check the URL's so I don't really know who the 500 are. If you're reading this, we'd just love for you to share a thought with us cause we really care. We wish you all the most Merry Christmas full of the Presence of God in you and your Christmas guests.
ReplyDeleteDeborah, such joy to see your comment last night. No surprise to me that God is stirring faith in you and reaching deep places you know not. Praying for you girl! Yes, I'm on that rollercoaster ride in the seat next to you with hands held high! I woke up thinking about Psa 27:13-14 which I think about a lot. You would have despaired if you had not believe---by The Strength so powerfully at work in you---that you will see the Goodness of your God. He's a Beautiful God in you! Love you so.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay in post. I was about headed to the hospital last night with a pain in my side. Whoa. So I went to bed and it went away. God invented sleep to make us pause from the woes of the day and start again with a clean fresh slate!
ReplyDelete144,000 singing a new song before the Throne...an angel's deliverance, and the time is ripe for the harvest.
ReplyDeleteAs we approach these Christmas days, my family seems rarely still to hear the small Voice. Help us to be ready, Lord. Help us to hear, to stand in that Day. Breath of Heaven, help us.
We're celebrating on the Boxing Day with the extended family and plan to go to Christmas Eve service in College Station. We have lots of time planned to just relax at the ranch, and some good meals.
May each of you Pearls find Him in details far too magnificent to be coincidental. Slip away for some prayer time just you and Jesus. He stands at the door and knocks. He will come in and sup with you in your heart. May you each celebrate true Communion with Him this Christmas and in the coming year. 2012--no one knows the day or hour but so many things say His Time is near. Let us be found ready. Look up! And celebrate the very "with us" God--Emmanuel, the Christ child! Glory to God in the highest! And peace to His people on earth. Merry, merry Christmas, Pearls! Love you girls!
All of this in Revelation is so hard to read and to comprehend. How I pray that none of my loved ones will be sideswiped with the sickle. Am fearful that one of my children and their spouse have been either slightly deceived or greatly deceived and it is breaking my heart. My other child seems to be coming back on the right side of the sickle. His son who got saved this summer is wanting to buy his Mom a Bible for Christmas. He got her to get his dad and his Dad's girl friend gifts!!! He is our little missionary.
ReplyDeleteI've been striving on what to really give Jesus this Christmas and I come up lacking. I so want to find Him in this present hour. Right there with you Bev. Praying for the appointments next week for you and yours.
I do think I am hearing the angels much louder this year than I have ever heard them and I am blessed beyond all measure.
Bev and Annette you both write so beautifully, wish I could write as well as you two do. You have blessed me over and over all of the years that we have done this together.
May all of the Pearls and all of those who have just stopped by and read along with us and not commented. May you truly find Him this year. May you see the empty cross standing behind the lowly manger. May you see the One who was born to die so that we might live for all eternity and suffer no more. Praying for all of those who have lost loved ones this year or suffered any kind of setback....may you see Him and feel His presence and know that we all are the reason that He came to be born in that lowly stable to die on the lowly cross.
May we all find more time to be still and know that He is truly God. The great I AM....whatever we need Him to be....the bread of life, our Shepherd, our protector, our shield. He is all of those things and so much more.
Bev, thanks for posting everyday. You are so faithful and full of love and honesty for all of us Pearls. You and the Pearls are such and important part of my life. I look forward to reading A String of Pearls first thing every day. God Bless you this Christmas!
ReplyDeleteUpdate on me:
I am struggling with insecurity. I have to accept it. And learn to love myself as Christ loves me. I must let go of hurts and unreasonable expectations of myself, others, and my relationships and through faith, be at peace with God. I can't do these things on my own. I can only change through prayer, reading the word, faith, trust that what He says He will do. Lord, forgive my unbelief, make me believe.
Merry Christmas Bev and all the Pearls. I am one of the 500 and I sincerely appreciate your ministry.I read with you every day and am excited to see how the Lord leads for our 2012 devotionals!
ReplyDeleteMary Lou, You may not think your writing is awesome like Annette's but I am sitting here in a puddle of tears cause you touched my heart and that's what it is all about. Annette is out of our writer's league! I mean that extra complimentarily---didn't come out that well. Love you all!
ReplyDeleteDear 1 of the 500 -
