Rev 13:7 ~
The Beast was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them.
Oh my, oh my! We do live in a war for our very souls.
Rev 13:9-10 ~ If anyone has an ear, let him hear:
If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes...
Here is a call for the Endurance and Faith of the saints.
"And I saw a beast..." Rev. 13:1a.

"right hand or forehead"
A call to soberness. I placed my right palm to my forehead as I read these verses and the feeling I got in that position was one of great lament. Buying and selling will depend on the mark of the beast in the right hand or forehead.
Woe to those who follow the beast.
All eyes on Jesus.

ReplyDeleteSO good to hear from you Deborah! Hope all is well for you as you celebrate the birth of our Lord.
ReplyDeleteAs we read Revelation, I am reminded only one Fear is appropriate, a holy and reverent fear of our Lord.
Read this today and I stopped to take it in. We need a big God more than we need a neat, sweet God.
"As awe of Jesus expands, fears of life diminish. A big God translates into big courage. A small view of God generates no courage. A limp, puny, fireless Jesus has no power over cancer cells, corruption, identity theft, stock-market crashes, or global calamity.

A...I saw Max Lucado the other day. Blessed beyond words to attend "The Story" in Atlanta. I wept through the Job song. Such a visual of faith in the broken places. Max and Randy were great. I loved every artist! But my most favorite was the drummer and singer for Newsboys during the Paul song. Exciting beyond words!
ReplyDeleteHow am I doing?
Things are tough emotionally.
I can honestly understand John's words here..."And I saw a beast..." I'm not sure why, but the fiery darts have been horrible this week.
Physically, I'm good.
But spiritually, I'm on a high. Christ is so powerful in my life right now. He's closing a few doors and I'm blessed to watch Him work in my life.
Beverly, I feel like I am on a rollercoaster ride. How about you?
Pearls, I've picked out a few small gifts for the girls in my family and I thought you might want to check this out, too.
ReplyDeleteSkintimate shaving cream has a revitalizing cream infused with exfoliating "pearls." I thought about all of us when I bought that!

One of my favorite things is the feeling of freshly shaved legs when I climb into my freshly made bed.
LOVE you girls! Hope you all have a blessed Christmas and New Year.
Saturday is my father's 88th birthday! We are ready to eat some cake...
