I Thes 3:11 "Established Hearts in Holiness" (Oct 15)

Paul wanted to know about his friends in Thessalonica.  Had the Tempter tempted them? I Thes 3:5

I want to know about my friends.  Is the Tempter tempting you?  He so tried to show up during my drive to College Station last night that the absence of initiative in the lives of former friends loomed way too large.  I felt so uncared for.  So what do we "do" with that.  Surrender to the Wonder not the Whispers.  The Wonder of a Beautiful God Who adores me and draws me to Himself in my little afflictions of feeling like a nobody, an unloved nothing.  Oh no to the tempter (no capitalization on purpose) for my God rules my heart and sends what is for my good, always.

May God send people today to supply what is lacking in your faith.  He has for me as I sit at the breakfast table across from Annette.  I Thes 3:10-11

May God direct their ways to you.  May God make you increase and abound in His Love, being a giver not a taker.

May God establish your heart in holiness a little bit more this day than yesterday.
He's coming for you.

  1. I've enjoyed the epistles perhaps more than I have in the past, particularly when we have such powerful Scripture prayers to pray for each other like today:

"Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you, and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, 13so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before(Y) our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints."

    Amen. Happy Saturday, all!

  2. You are so right Annette. The prayers are so beautiful and as the reading yesterday talked about that it was the power of the Word working in us and not the words of others, made me think about the scripture that says His Word will not return void. It never does!!! When we read it, pray it or it is preached it goes out and touches hearts and lives and divides them asunder, pierces our hearts and sadly in some cases takes no root, but it does work in power and is such a blessing, more so than just our feeble words when we pray.

Blessed Saturday to all and a blessed Sabbath tomorrow.

  3. Good morning, Pearls. God is at work in our lives in such an amazing way. I am in awe of the confidence He has in us. On Tuesday my husband's position at his company was terminated. As he was the number one in terms goal and production, it was a shock. We are praying God will show us His plan for this next part of our lives. What a great opportunity to cast aside all the limitations the corporate community and our daily routine have placed on us. We are free to seek opportunities in a way we were not able in the past. A time to draw closer to God and each other. Please pray for us to make Godly decisions.

  4. Thank you Bev, for one more time listening to the LORD and blessing me with your post. Yes, today God showed up big to remind me that He is in charge and proved one more time to me that I need not fear.Thank you for sharing your experience. I pray you are blessed abundantly today as my precious pearl sistas visit face to face.

As I searched for my scripture memory verse today God reminded me to spend more time thinking about putting on the FULL Armor of God more securely each day.

Annette, as you prayed for us to increase and bound in love...I choose to add 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. This verse ministered to me today.

Bev, my Very Precious Pearl Mama you are very dearly loved and cared about though you may not hear from me directly.

  5. Your insights Mary Lou encourage me today.

Jan, I pray Ephesians 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our LORD Jesus Christ, the Glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, so that you may know Him better. Jan as I read your post I believe God is already revealing His plan of fresh opportunities to Mike and you as I continue to pray this scripture.

  6. Oh my goodness Jan! I am shocked! Your comment was so humble and honest and I was quite taken aback. That's a long haul ahead of you. I will be praying for you and Mike --- oh oh my! I am so sorry. He is the stability of your times! Isa 33:6

  7. Oh, Jan. Your heart is so dear and pressing into Him. Opportunities indeed. Our greatest challenges are opportunities. Thank you for that timely reminder. I will be praying for you and Mike for God to show up in ways you never imagined. And the best part is you will give Him all the glory. Take care, sweet girl!
