I Cor 16:13 ~ Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. My prayer for each of you.
A friend shared this verse with me 35 years ago and I still remember the moment, the words, to this very day. And so I share it with you. Lift up your head. Act like women.
What lingers with you as we close the Book of I Corinthians, written to a called corrupt community turned followers of Christ.
Verse 18 talks about those who refreshed Paul's spirit.
ReplyDeleteThat's what this blog is to me. It is a place Jesus uses each of you to refresh my spirit. And His Word every day refreshes my spirit.
I guess what lingers with me is how important it is to encourage each other, to cheer each other on. Thank you so much, Bev, for all that you do. I know it's tough some days. Really tough. But what a blessing to come here and always know that Jesus Christ is transforming us here.
That is a life-long call for me. I want to be changed by Him.
