Excel in this act of grace---
of giving yourself first to your God and
then, by the will of God, to whomever he sends your way. I Cor 8:7
Aim at what is honorable---
not only in the Lord’s sight
but also in the sight of man. I Cor 8:
Today, I tried to do what was honorable in the sight of man.
It backfired on me.
Tomorrow, I will aim again and ask our Good God,
The God of the downcast,
to enable me to get back up again and excel in an act of Grace.
The Message gives us this prayer from Hebrews 13:18:

ReplyDeleteJust a word for me today from the readings in The Message. So many things started and left undone. There's enough Grace to finish. Thanks be to His Name.
