263 - "We Gave Birth to The Wind" Isaiah 26-27; Ephesians 6

     

                  We have given birth to the wind.  Isaiah 26:18.

Brooke gave birth the best way in the whole wide world.  God's way for these babies to come to earth.

We wanted to give birth to what is real and what will last for all eternity.

Whispered Prayers for true birth.

We need You so to intervene, intercede, interplay, interact.  

May the pangs of childbirth form Christ in us.  Gal 4:19.

May the peace of God grasp us and keep us safe.

"You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord God is an everlasting rock."

This verse has been on my mind since you all my kids have lived in footed pajamas.  Eph 6:13-17. After you have done everything to stand <<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>

We wrestle not only with flesh and blood.  We wrest principalities who know a thousand ways of "beguiling my soul."  The devil knows me through-and-through.  Those intimate things that I carry.  Those secrets that belong only to me.  Those holes in my heart. Oh for grace to resist.  Resist Him and he will flee.  

Here in Ephesians 6 are the heavy-armed pieces that protect the face of our lives.  Not the back.  A girdle.  A helmet.  A breastplate. Leg armor.  A sword.  Nothing for the back side.

A single text, rightly divided and applied.
A single prayer, fastens the armor to our lives.

Our Redeemer draws nigh to us.  Our Redeemer is Almighty.
His Power is present in our wrestle when we face the hard things of life.
When we turn away, there is no armor for the back.
