"Come With All Your Longings" Isaiah 53-55; 2 Thessalonians 1

Come. Come with all your longings. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:5-8

The efficacy of nature depicts the rain and the snow coming down from heaven yielding seed and bread. Same for God's Word. It will not return to God empty. Do I have that fixed in my mind today?

But the fact is, it was our pains he carried— our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us, and that made us whole. We're all like sheep who've wandered off and gotten lost. We've all done our own thing, gone our own way. And God has piled all our sins, everything we've done wrong, on Him. Isaiah 53:6.

And for you, my best prayer I could pray: May God make you worthy of His calling.  By His Power may He fulfill your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by fait.  All your longings.  All your desires.  All your life.  May His name be glorified in you. 2 Thes 1:11-12.
