"Dazzling White As Snow" Numbers 29-31, Mark 9

Could their eyes believe what they saw?  Dazzling whiteness. Whiter than any bleach. And there before them --- Moses and Elijah! Makes me think of C.S. Lewis' words: No man knows how bad he is until he tries real hard to be good. How could they live in this moment juxtaposed next to an ambitious moment to be the best and request to sit next to Jesus.  It's something I wonder about a lot.  If I have made nothing of myself---or God has not made much---whose terms am I on?  Can I live in the wonder and awe of the dazzling whiteness of my life?  That's enough.  It's not about the turmoil; it's all about the "white as snow."
