November 9 "Let Him Go" John 11:44

I don't want to live curved in on myself.
The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”  John 11:44.  This High Priest could have miraculously healed this man with no breath.  But, no.  His words are loud! Christ did it in such a way as to draw our hearts, our attention to the fact that we need other people to unwrap the mess of our lives.  Borrow my faith a little.  I have plenty tonight.  God moved the stone.  I couldn't do that.  I can take the bandage off your face.  Let me undress those wounds.  Someone please help me take my own bindings off.  Remove the stone, O God, that blocks my prejudices, my jealousies, my unbelief.  No more curved in.  Curve me out.  Raise me up to really live!

PRAYER FROM PSALMS
Like Lazarus, I will not die, but live! Psalm 118:17
Thaw this frozen soul of mine. Make me come alive, O God!

  1. The following verses reduce me to tears, cause me to smile, bring such excitement I can barely type:

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” She *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.”

Yes Lord, I believe You are the Christ, the Son of God!
