Will I stomp my feet and wear Love this day?
Living Life is no light thing.
Why do we have to be entertained? Turning the lights down low. Compelling music.
We all rely on experiences to make us feel closer to God---no more.
Can we just find God in the midst of our desperate broken hearts?
Ezekiel 8:1 The Hand of the Lord God fell on me there. It is not a light thing when you commit to other things for your happiness than the Lord God. Ezekiel 8:17
Do we know this very day the place that God has us is where He will move? O God, fall on us.
Clap your hands, stomp your feet. Don't allow sin to rule your new nature. No!
May we deeply know the Hand of our Lord God in this secret place, this day.
PRAYER FROM PSALMS
Psalm 144:7
Reach down your Hand from on high.
Deliver me, O God, from the mighty waters surrounding me.
Rescue us all, O God, that we may truly live.

I don't understand a lot of the prophesy here, but we can know that sinning against God provokes His judgment. There is something so moving inside me when I read God's words, "Then they'll know that I am The Lord." What's it going to take for us to return as a country, as individual hearts that know that He is Lord of our lives and land?
ReplyDeleteWe may not understand physical famine and lack, but surely we know the spiritual famine of the Bread of Life, and the broken cisterns of bitter waters of idols from which we drink and are not satisfied. We know lack in a time of abundance of physical provision. In fact, it seems the more comfortable we are physically, the more spiritual poverty we suffer, all because of our rebellion.
Lord, we turn away from the broken cisterns and junk food that we preoccupy ourselves with. You are the Bread of Life to my heart. You are Living Water to this parched soul. Pour over us Your Spirit and revive our dried bones. All because of Your Son. Amen.
Every time I read..."then they will know that I am The LORD" it grabs my heart and I underline....everything He does is to show His people and the rest of the world that He and He alone is The LORD and He is The One, the Only one who is in control and one day every knee WILL bow and every tongue WILL confess that He is the Only One worthy of honor, glory and praise.
