March 9 "Last Words---Hear Learn Fear" Deut 31:6

120 years old and Moses knew in Deut 31:29 that the Israelites would act corrupt when he died. Wonder how he felt about leading right now. Yet his very important Last Words: Deut 31:6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." A Command from the one who had been through so much with them ... 120 years worth. "Assemble ... hear and learn and fear the Lord your God, and be careful to observe all the words of this law." And truly you shall live. And Moses really lived for God not for ministry nor success. He's not entering his Promised Land. His congregation is not that holy either. Moses did what's right in the sight of His God, no matter what others did. Am I? This has been one of the hardest weeks of this year! I will trust in this new unknown.

  1. It is so very comforting to know that the Lord goes before us. He fights for us. We need only turn to Him, look to Him to point the way, ask, ask, ask. He is our wise Counselor, our Peotector, Our Banner that goes before us into the unknown. No need to fear. No need to wrestle with the controversies. He is our Peace in the storms. Why do we look any where else but to keep our eyes on Jesus?
