March 28 "Raising My Ebenezer" I Sam 7:12

A Stone is a Symbol that We Are Not Alone.
We Have Help This Very Day.
Waiting on God!
The Israelites repent. God is looking for hearts that are wholly His.
Hearts who will welcome Him.
So, when the Philistines invade Israel, Samuel takes a stone, names it Ebenezer, and sets it:
"Thus far, the LORD has helped us." I Sam 7:12.
Our God is going to help us in any invasion for the rest of our days.
Oh yes, to the very end.

Oh God, give us rest in the midst of testing.
Now, the Israelites want a king---putting stock in a king as the answer.
And Samuel prayed to the Lord. The Lord said to Samuel,
“Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you,
for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them. I Sam 8:7.
There are so many times, I think that people have a problem with me
when, in actuality, their problem is truly with God. They have rejected their God.

PRAYER FROM PSALMS
Psalm 121:1
I will lift my eyes up to the mountains.
Where does my Help come from, O God?
You will help me.
Thus far,
You have.
And now,
You will.
This Hour.
This Day.
Amen.

  1. I have had mega computer issues in the past 24 hours. Finally solved. Plus, I'm trying to learn a MacBookPro on my own---a gift that floored me! I had 6 hours of issues during the night. This post went up at 1pm but never made it. Learning Curve! Thanks for your patience. I think I'm just going to post when I do it from now on.

  4. Today, I stand strong and say that "Thus far, the Lord has helped me." Thus far, at the end of my life, I will repeat the same chorus. Thus far is my testimony. He is my very present help in time of need.

What He did for us this day can never be fully comprehended, but I know that I've never been loved more because of this day, this cross, this God-man who rent the veil between heaven and earth to usher us into His presence. What love!

Take this bread, My Body broken for you this hour. Take this wine, My Blood shed for you, the Saving Cup of Redemption. Do this in remembrance of Me.
